What next for Gateshead Quays?
CZWG, Ryder HKS, the Fairhursts Design Group and multidisciplinary practice Watkins Gray International have been shortlisted for the Gateshead Quays phase two development, with each practice working in a developer-led consortium.
The public space project is planned for the 2.2ha site currently used as a temporary car park adjacent to the Sage Gateshead. The area is expected to include new streets, courtyards, bars, restaurants, shops, offices and residential developments.
The four shortlisted consortium will present to Gateshead Council later this year.
