Invisible Architectures is a micro-festival exploring the invisible yet influential substrates of urban existence. Architects, artists and writers lead guided tours of the uncanny, subliminal and subterranean layers of the city, exposing the richness of the invisible to the senses.
13-14 August 2011 Saturday 12noon-6pm Sunday 10am-4pm
Make a splash in our urban paddling oasis, as Northern Architecture bring the river onto the quayside for little feet to enjoy - don't forget your towel! A field of shallow puddles of water will be brought to the street surface in the form of a number of paddling pools. This mass of urban pools and puddles can be enjoyed and explored at street level, transforming visitors' usual experience of the Newcastle and Gateshead quaysides.
