A programme of short courses that give teachers confidence in using architecture and the built enviroment to teach.

Northern Architecture offer a range of Continuing Professional Development sessions throughout the year, designed specifically for teachers and other educators. The sessions include guidance, support and resources for using architecture and the built enviroment within the curriculum.


Inside Out

Teachers’ CPD for Key Stage 2

 

A CPD day for Key Stage 2 teachers, examining how playing with and transforming the outdoor spaces in school can offer a wide variety of cross-curricular learning experiences for your pupils.


Teachers will work with creative practitioners on activities that can be repeated with pupils back in school, using the outdoors to enhance teaching and learning

Teachers’ CPD for Key Stage 1, 2, 3 & 4

 

A hands on model-making CPD, designed to compliment our pupils’ workshop.  

Working with a professional model-maker, teachers will develop 2D drawing skills and 3D making techniques used for architectural model making, and explore how to incorporate these activities into lessons.

Digital Design Diary

Teachers’ CPD for Key Stage 1,2,3 & 4

A workshop for teachers, using digital technologies to evaluate and document school building and grounds.


Teachers make a creative audit of a building, space or place and create a presentation to help inform school development projects.


This CPD is designed to complement the pupil digital design workshop.
