Event Series 2007/08 - Designing for life

50% of all the UK's carbon emissions are produced by the built environment. The industry creates a third of all waste. How should the North East respond to this?

Designing for life - In autumn 2007 Northern Architecture's popular event series returned, this time looking at the key issue of sustainability within the design of buildings and spaces in the North East.

Design Event 07

Northern Architecture have invited Newcastle based writer Carol McGuigan, architect Tim Bailey and Tony Wyatt, head of Newcastle’s Urban Design team to develop an alternative public tour of Newcastle for DE07, Newcastle’s annual design festival.

Architecture Week 2007

aw07logoweblarger.jpg Architecture Week is the national festival that celebrates contemporary architecture. It has been running for 11 years and in 2007 was held from 15-24 June.

Event Series 2006/07

Our annual event series aims to stimulate debate and discussion amongst built environment professionals, the public and other stakeholders about key issues relevant to our region. It is part of our campaign to promote good practice and encourage inspirational design in our built environment.
