The artworks lift what could be otherwise a somewhat forbidding place and ass a much needed sense of fun to the chore of daily travel. The jury ere particularly taken by the artworks showing 'found' objects displayed as if they were adverts for well known household products.

 

Description

The refurbishment of platform areas was led by Nexus, which owns and operates the Tyne and Wear Metro, in partnership with Network Rail and Northern Rail, to provide high quality waiting areas for the two million passengers who use the station every year
