Community gather together for the first Designing Ouseburn's Future discussion

Over 40 people attended the launch event for our Designing Ouseburn's Future project on the evening of Tuesday 1st November. The discussion and workshop event at the Ouseburn Regeneration Centre in Newcastle brought together people from the area interested in the design quality of any future developments in the Ouseburn Valley. The creative workshops gave participants a chance to talk about how they see the Ouseburn as it is now, how culture-led regeneration has changed the Ouseburn, how the Ouseburn works as a community and what people want, or even want to avoid, for the future of the Ouseburn.

The passionate and thoughtful contributions from people at this first event will form the foundations for a series of discussion and workshop events over the next 6 months to develop a community design vision for the Ouseburn.
