Northern Architecture has facilitated the project ‘The Way We Live’ for two years now, recruiting students from Newcastle University to work with young people in a series of activities helping them to investigate places and engage in their environments.
Northern Architecture has now produced a full colour 36 page publication showing the project’s full aims, activities and outcomes. It is essential reading for anyone interested in learning the tools and techniques for engaging young people in regeneration processes and will be particularly useful for teachers and youth workers wishing to use the built environment and young people’s local areas in learning programmes. Northern Architecture will also be using this publication as a ‘toolkit’ to invite local authorities and others involved in regeneration projects to engage young people in the process of shaping places.
