Urban Translation is a new, alternative tour of the city of Newcastle developed for Design Event in October 07. Held as a live event for the festival it explored some of the urban and architectural design decisions, thwarted visions and juxtapositions that form part of the city’s shape and character.
The tour has been devised through collaboration between Newcastle based writer Carol McGuigan, architect Tim Bailey from xsite Architecture, Tony Wyatt former Group leader for Urban Design and Conservation at Newcastle City Council and Northern Architecture
Northern Architecture will develop the tour further into resource that you will be able to access and download from this site including map, text, images and audio.
