G.R.A.D - Graduate Retention and Development - is a project we are supporting alongside Plus 3 Architecture, Newcastle University and Northumbria University that is for part 1 or part 2 architecture students that haven't been able to get work in practice in their year out or on graduation because of the economic climate. Design Adviser
Would you like to have a major impact on the quality of the built environment in the North East of England?
Northern Architecture, the architecture centre for the North East, is looking for a qualified architect or urban designer to join our small team working from our office in Newcastle upon Tyne, to develop its advice and support services for the commissioning of great architecture and place-making in the North East.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for good design and the ability to commit this to the support of both professionals and public in working towards high quality places, and to develop new work in an established organisation in a dynamic part of the country.
This appointment will be offered initially as a fixed term contract until 31st March 2011 on a part time basis of 3 days or 21 hours per week at an annual salary range of £28,000 - 32,000 pro rata. (£16,800 - £19,200 for 3 days). The appointment could be offered as a secondment.
