Projects Officer (2 days per week)

Northern Architecture is looking for someone with an enthusiasm for the built environment and for engaging non-professionals and communities in the process of shaping the built environment, to take over some of the work of one of their Projects Officers during her maternity leave, from July 2008 to the end of March 2009. The job amounts to two days per week, and flexible working is possible.

The work will focus on developing a new range of services under the provisional banner of ‘Designing for People’. You will build on existing work and contacts to carry out research and development into a pilot range of services to be offered by Northern Architecture to clients, local authorities, or architects wanting to fully engage residents and communities in the process of design and masterplanning in their places.

Candidates should have a relevant degree level qualification, some experience of project management and/or arts administration and be good at working with a variety of people.

The salary for this post is £23,785 per annum pro rata.

Closing date for applications 1 August. Interviews will be held in the week beginning 11 August.
